Bedrock Marketplace guide
Compare Marketplace packs, Add-Ons, Marketplace Pass, and Realms Plus before you spend. This site is not a store.
Minecraft.net treats Marketplace Pass and Realms Plus as related subscriptions with the same content catalog. The difference is whether you also want a private always-online world. Minecoins (or PlayStation Minecraft Tokens) buy individual items. Confirm current terms in-game; listings change.
Use Minecoins or platform billing for a world, Add-On, skin, or texture you want to keep. Official Marketplace FAQ language: buy content while signed in and use it on other supported Bedrock devices on that Microsoft account. A rotating catalog of Marketplace content for Bedrock. The current price is shown by Minecraft or the platform store and varies by region and platform. Marketplace Pass is not supported on Amazon Kindle Fire or Java Edition, per the official Pass page. Realms Plus already includes this catalog.
Private Realm plus the Pass catalog. Minecraft.net describes play as the owner plus up to 10 other players at once; the current price is shown on the official Realms page and in-game. Invited friends play without buying the Realm. Java Realms is a separate product.

Bedrock is the edition on Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, Chromebook, and Amazon Fire. The PC product Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC includes both editions; buying Minecraft on a console or phone does not add Java. Mac and Linux run Java only. Marketplace Pass cannot be purchased on Fire, according to Minecraft.net.

A Marketplace world template, an Add-On you drop onto your survival save, a texture pack, and a monthly Character Creator item follow different ownership rules. Mojang's Pass FAQ says Character Creator items you redeem stay; worlds, textures, skins, and mash-ups that leave the catalog generally need a separate purchase to keep using while playing.
Marketplace worlds and Pass catalog items are creator content, not vanilla Game Drops. Check whether you are buying a template, an Add-On, or a cosmetic pack.
These are decision filters, not reviews. We have not playtested named packs. Official product pages and in-game timers outrank this summary.
Name the content type: world template, Add-On, texture, skin, mash-up, or Character Creator item. A Pass download is not the same as a Minecoin purchase. If the catalog timer is counting down, Mojang says you may need to buy the item to keep using it after it leaves.
Same Microsoft account is the usual sync path for Marketplace purchases. Consoles generally install through Marketplace rather than opening .mcaddon files. Featured servers can sell their own cosmetics. Low-RAM devices may hide some Marketplace items, per the Marketplace FAQ.
Download a local copy of a Realm world before replacing a slot - Mojang's change-world page says not to rely on backups forever. Combining Add-Ons is officially supported; conflicts still happen. Player bug reports (including Mojira) describe Realm download failures after some updates when many Marketplace Add-Ons are attached. Treat those as signals, not a guarantee it will happen to you.

Official Pass copy: if you mainly play alone, Marketplace Pass is the catalog-only option. If you want a private server for friends across devices, Realms Plus includes that catalog plus the Realm. Do not subscribe to both; Minecraft.net says Realms Plus already includes Pass.

Redeemed Character Creator items stay. Other catalog pieces generally need a purchase after they leave, according to the official Pass FAQ.
Active Realms Plus subscribers cannot also subscribe to Pass. Cancel Pass first if you are switching up, per Minecraft.net.
Always-online world you control. Minecraft.net also describes a smaller 2-player Realm option beside the 10-player Plus plan. Confirm names and prices on the Realms screen.
Plus includes Marketplace Pass. Console online play still needs that platform's network subscription (Xbox, PlayStation Plus, Nintendo Switch Online), as stated on Minecraft's how-to-buy-Realm page.
Java Realms is a different service. It does not carry Bedrock Marketplace content and does not mix with Bedrock sessions.
Split-screen on consoles and LAN on the same network do not replace Realms. They also do not include the Pass catalog. Couch play player counts vary by device - check your platform's Minecraft listing.
A local world with Add-Ons may not match what friends see until the same packs are applied and versions match.
Partner servers are a third spend path: their own rules and optional purchases, separate from Minecoins you already hold.
Game Drops change vanilla Minecraft. Marketplace and subscriptions are paid creator content. Links go to Minecraft.net. Drop names and URLs change; if a slug 404s, use the updates hub.
Unlimited blocks and flight. Marketplace packs can still apply here; they are optional extras on top of Creative, not a replacement for it.
Survival and Creative ship with Bedrock. Subscriptions and Minecoins only add creator content. Java players cannot join these worlds.
Resource gathering, night spawns, and the End. Back up a Survival world before you stack behavior Add-Ons onto it.
